ACROSS THE ANDES
An extraordinary journey rescued from Chile’s history awaits you in this special program for riders and other adventurers. You will follow the same path that the Liberation Army took in 1817 in their struggle against the Spanish colonial reign. This expedition will lead you right through the Andes passing by some of the highest peaks of the continent, eternal snowfields and sparkling streams. The rocky landscape formed by the semi arid climate influences the lifestyle of the local shepherds called “Huasos” or “Gauchos”. You will share their customs during your journey and experience the wild beauty of nature. ACONCAGUA (6962m)
The ascent of the Aconcagua (6962m) is more than a dream for mountain climbers from all over the world. With AZIMUT 360 you can be one of the privileged ones. This ascent does not involve any technical difficulty but requires a goof fitness level and excellent acclimatization. Our catalogue roundtrip includes an ascent by the regular route, though we can also arrange a different itinerary for you. TUPUNGATO (6570m)
On the Chilean-Argentina border, Mount Tupungato reaches an altitude of 6570m with the typical majesty of all volcanoes. This peak, which is wilder and less coveted than others, offers countless possibilities to all those mountain climbers in search of challenges off the beaten track. Either by its normal route (dry) or by its southern face (glacier), this volcano offers a variety of views that will leave you with eternal memories. The approach walk, as well as the climb itself make Mount Tupungato one of the most beautiful treks of the central mountain range. As for the Aconcagua program, we recommend a previous acclimatization climb to Mount Plomo (5430m). PLOMO (5430m)
Climb your first 5000m summit! This expedition is ideal for a first high altitude experience. Mount Plomo (5430m) is an easy mountain that requires no special mountaineering techniques, but just demands a strong will to reach the top and a good physical level. This climb is a perfect way to prepare you for other major expeditions (Tupungato, Aconcagua….) and offers great scenic interest as you can see some of the major summits of the Central Andes and Santiago by night! MARMOLEJO
Marmolejo, the most austral 6000m summit of the world, is located on the Chilean-Argentinean border, only a few miles from Santiago. The ascent requires a very good physical condition since the approach to the mountain takes up some days. Nevertheless, the Marmolejo is relatively easy to climb. This mini-expedition promises fantastic experiences for those who wish to get away from civilization for some days and get magnetized by the mountain panorama.
