It is all silence, vastness, mystery and legend.<\/p>\n<p>We invite you to discover this island from a different perspective, exploring the natural surrounding which has shaped the history of the place.<\/p>\n<p>Trip features<\/p>\n<p>Type of trip: Overland<br \/>\nDuration: 5 days<br \/>\nSuggested period: all year<br \/>\nFitness level: none<br \/>\nTechnical level: none<\/p>\n<p>Highlights of the trip<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Archeological site of the Moai<\/li>\n<li>Volcano crater<\/li>\n<li>Anakena beach<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Itinerary<\/p>\n<h4>DAY 1: EASTER ISLAND (IN)<\/h4>\n<p>Reception at the airport and transfer IN (IN GROUP, WITH ENGLISH SPEAKING GUIDE) to the hotel GOMERO or similar.<br \/>\nNight at hotel Gomero (or similar according to availability)<\/p>\n<h4>DAY 2: EASTER ISLAND<\/h4>\n<p>REGULAR HALF DAY excursion (approx. 3-4 hours) (IN GROUP, WITH ENGLISH SPEAKING GUIDE)<br \/>\nDuring this excursion you go up to the extinct volcano RANO KAU, where a round view over the whole island with its coast, volcanoes and the village of HANGA ROA awaits you.<br \/>\nThe second viewpoint you visit lets you appreciate the crater of RANO KAU with its lagoon. Afterwards you arrive at the ceremonial village of ORONGO, where the ceremony and the competition of the bird man \u2013 TANGATA MANU \u2013 took place.<br \/>\nThen you visit the Ahu VINAPU with its architecture that reminds one of the constructions of pre-inca people. At the end of this excursion we visit the cave ANA KAI TANGATA where we can appreciate cave paintings.<br \/>\nBreakfast included.<br \/>\nNight at hotel Gomero (or similar according availability), Breakfast included.<\/p>\n<h4>DAY 3: 24.03.2014 EASTER ISLAND<\/h4>\n<p>REGULAR FULL DAY excursion (approx. 7-8 hours) (IN GROUP, WITH ENGLISH SPEAKING GUIDE)<br \/>\nThe first stop takes you to a not restored Ahu called VAIHU situated in the HANGA TE\u2019E bay at the islands southern coast given witness to a destruction phase some centuries back.<br \/>\nYou continue to the region of AHU AKAHANGA, where according to legend the tomb of the famous King HOTU MATUA rests.<br \/>\nAfterwards you arrive at one of the most important cultural sites of Rapa Nui, the quarry of RANO RARAKU, where about 900 statues were manufactured, 397 still sit or stand in the different stages of tailoring and transportation.<br \/>\nYou continue to AHU TONGARIKI, restored in 1995, with its 15 statues standing.<br \/>\nThe penultimate site you visit is the \u201cumbilicus of the world\u201d together with the Ahu TE PITO KURA.<br \/>\nEventually you arrive at the ANAKENA beach where you can find 2 platforms, el Ahu NAU NAU and the Ahu ATURE HUKI both restored. Here you can as well appreciate the warm waters of the pacific, rest at the beach with its red send and palm trees<br \/>\nAfterwards you come back to the hotel.
